Description

Made from the Live Tutorial Session (in case you were wondering what LTS was) by :icondragonwinter:
I also added a couple of transforms and used the abandoned(?) original Polynomial plugin by :iconcothe: to help fill up the empty spaces.

The following is my text notes saved from the session along with my own notes:

Start new blank flame
set linear to 0, (don't worry if all you have is a blank dot)
Set spherical to 1
Now we'll rotate it around until it looks like this approximately. This is your main structure, the spiral part of your flower. You won't see much yet.
[link]
the weight of transform 1 should be about .75

Then add a second transform,here's your radial blur.
Knock the linear down to .5, and add radial blur at about .45 or so.
In this transform, the more linear you have, the more blunt your "petals" will be, the more radial blur you have, the pointier and more...ragged your petals will be.
Squash the triangle down and move it around until it's about here:
[link]
the radial blur angle will help us change the petal angles. the words on the side are sliders, you don't have to enter in particular variables.
change radial blur angle to 0.05
=========================================
*Fracfx notes:*
rotate clockwise 90 degrees
go to triangle and type 800 in the bottom box (scale triangle)
Press the down arrow to scale it down by 800
move it to the right
Moving it 0.25 right here gives you the basic flower shape
==============================

Good, when you like what you see....that's your flower! You can still move things around, change angles, add bits of other variations to the first transform, etc, to get other flower shapes. The possibilities are kind of endless. My Flower Fractal Gallery That gives you an idea of what you can do with just two transforms and the editor.
Open the coloring tab on your editor, and start with transform 1
make it color symmetry somewhere between .6 and .9, then make your transform two color symmetry -1
===================================================

So, me bottom lining it for you, It's:
New blank flame,
Set Transform 1 linear to 0 and Spherical to 1
Flip vertical <--not mentioned by host
rotate clockwise 30 degrees <--to those I sent notes this is where I goofed up, it's 30 degrees not 90

move up 0.5 units
move right 0.25 units
Set Weight to = 0.75
Set Symmetry 0.6 to 0.9
Set color slider to 0 (all the way left)

Add 2nd Transform
Set Linear to 0.5 and radial_blur to 0.45
Set radial blur angle variable to 0.05
rotate clockwise 90 degrees
scale down by 800
Move it in small units (0.25 for example) to the right to get the flower shape you like
Set Weight to 0.236
Symmetry = -1
Set color slider to 1 (all the way right)

That's it! Then just get to tweaking/adding your own stuff to it!

A special Thanks to Dragonwinter for sharing this technique!
