I've always been a big fan of Star Trek (guess that makes me a "Trekkie" )
One of the best times I had was when I was about 10 years old and there was a convention at the Trade Winds Motor Inn (I guess they didn't call them motels or hotels back then) and since my mom was a waitress and couldn't afford to send me to the babysitter I got to sit all day in the room where they were showing a Star Trek marathon including blooper reels (these were actually on reel to reels since vcrs and dvds were yet to be invented), the funniest one was where William Shatner was yelling for the makep artist to get back there and remove the old man makeup he had on (it has to be removed by a professional you can't just wash that stuff off), I walked around all day busting out laughing about that afterward
