Version 0.74 of flam4 has been released, which features some pretty big performance improvments.
The iteration code is now twice as fast, and even more when there's a final xform,
which no longer effect performance nearly as drastically as before!

Flam3 has finally hit the beta stage (thanks to people like me who released crappy plugins without fully beta testing them

"- Variations. I've added about 28 variations to flam3, and I've decided that(at least for the near future) I won't be pursuing a plugin architecture for new variations. There's so many crap vars out there that don't follow the rules that I don't want to have to try to support that nonsense;
if there's a responsive developer (me) then it should just be a matter of letting me know which ones are the most useful and interesting, and I can put them in the code in short order. I will probably add a few more before the first official release."
guess that means me as I didn't know and didn't follow "rules" for plugin making, which is also what makes the ones I did, not really crap, but capable of making stuff you wouldn't be able to otherwise, ah well, I'm taking a break from the plugin making until I learn "the rules".

I was watching Kill Bill Vol 1 and noticed how much the music played such a major part of the movie, and in all movies in general, then I had an idea I had for those of you who like theme challenges, Trivia, and those of you who have trouble coming up with a name for your devs:
Think of your favorite movie(s) and look up the soundtrack for it/them on google.com
Amazon.com usually has the whole lists (and a preview button to listen to the clips), most movies use several songs, enough to make a cd anyway
Then name your pics the names of the songs on the soundtrack.
So, the object is for your friends/watchers to "Name That Pic", the "pic" being the name of the Movie from the devs you posted as the hint once you have posted a few, kinda a mix of art/music/movie trivia
I have a hard time coming up with names sometimes, my last dev at this writing was named interference, because that's what it is (noise/waves) and reminds me of.
Some would be easy, like if I posted "Footloose"
you'd automatically know it's from that movie
But if you posted "If I were the king of the forest" and "If I only had a nerve" it might not be as obvious
although that's kind of an obvious example too

I lost my mom to breast cancer long ago and I now take care of a terminally ill cancer patient in my home, So this is a cause very personal and close to my heart for me.
